For those of you who haven't heard of this... now you know. I really have no idea why the cover reveal for this was so silent... I'm pretty sure there are many Darkest Minds fans here. Okay let's talk about the cover! Isn't it COOL? Come on, those colours are really amazing and that's a crescent in the centre... hmm 'afterlight'. Alexandra Bracken did mention to us that 'afterlight' has a special meaning in the book. She also said that we would know right away why she used that word when we read the book. Which is going to be released during September... Aghh. Happy waiting everyone! Until then tell me your thoughts about the new cover!

Synopsis

Ruby can't look back. Fractured by an unbearable loss, she and the kids who survived the government's attack on Los Angeles travel north to regroup. With them is a prisoner: Clancy Gray, son of the president, and one of the few people Ruby has encountered with abilities like hers--someone so dangerous that Ruby alone has any power over him.

Where does book three pick up at? 

The story picks up about two weeks after the ending of Never Fade, with our intrepid cast of heroes attempting to figure out how to get out of the recently destroyed Los Angeles. The big problem is the presence of the military, which is working overtime to not only find this remnant group of rebels, but also prevent anyone from entering or exiting the city.
