This is the only other thing that I absolutely dread about books... Library books being overdue just because you couldn't get into a mood to read. You also can't keep those that you adore A LOT... *sobs* what did I do to deserve such pain!
Okay, rewind that part a bit. I was getting too dramatic. Lets be frank about this, obviously you can't buy every other book there is out in the world related to your favorite genre. There are quite a few reasons you would not want to do that and I've come across some of these recently.
First Reason - The books you hate
You really would not want to buy a book, read it and end up hating it. Nope. There is no way you would love to put it up on your shelf and risk staring at it, bringing back those horrible memories. And forget about giving it away. It would be like recommending that book to the person and torturing them if they have the same interests as you
Second Reason - Space!!
Tell me you're not blind. You can't possibly fit all those books into one small space. Don't you want people to look at your bookshelf and admire it and not freak out at the amount of books you squashed into the tinne tiny little space there... Not good.
Third reason - Wonderland for books
Libraries are real wonderlands for books. Admit it. Books, books and books. Once you enter a library, all you see are books. No one there to disturb you or to force you to do your homework. Hehe.
So, my conclusion? Libraries are very needed. But they are still a pain in the butt...even if one is a few blocks away from your home. You know how we can get sometimes - Leave me and my book alone!
